Time needed: about 10 minutes. Result: your first farm with a plot and its first activity.

If you are not signed in yet, open /login

and enter your AgroDex email and password. After signing in, you land directly on the Farm dashboard.
Public beta is now open. Sign up at /register, verify your email, then sign in.

Step 1: Create a farm

A farm is the top-level container in AgroDex Farm. One farm represents one area of land you manage.

  • From the dashboard, press Create your first farm (or New Farm in the mobile bottom bar).
  • Fill in the fields:

  • Press Save.

Important note about Supervisor (Manager). If you fill in this field, that person can see your farm and record activities. They cannot delete the farm or change the supervisor. Clear this field to revoke their access.

After saving, you land on the farm detail page.

Step 2: Add a planting plot

A plot is a section within a farm. If your farm has four paddy blocks, create four plots. Each plot has its own crop, area, and plant date.

  • On the farm detail page, press New Plot.
  • Fill in:

  • Press Save.

Tip: The plant date drives several useful features. The dashboard calculates crop age and estimates the harvest date, and the Crop Calendar knows which day you are on. Fill it in when you know the date.

Step 3: Record an activity

Open your plot, then choose one of two approaches.

Option A: Record manually

Best for work you did today.

  • Press Log Activity.
  • If the plot has no active season yet, the system asks you to Start New Season first. Enter the crop and plant date, then continue.
  • Choose the Activity Type: Fertilizer, Pest control, Disease control, Scouting, Weed control, Land prep, Planting, Harvest, or Other.
  • Set the Date and give the activity a Title you will recognise.
  • For pest or disease control, press + Add product and search for your Product. Type a few letters and pick from the list. If the product is not listed, type the product name directly - it is saved as a manual product.
  • Fill in Dose / Rate, Area Treated, and Cost where relevant.
  • Add Photos if you want to, for example a diseased leaf.
  • Press Save.

Option B: Import a crop schedule

Best when you want an entire planting plan loaded at once.

  • Press Load Schedule.
  • Choose a source: Standard Schedule, Vendor Schedule, or your own JSON File.
  • Search for a schedule name, then select it.
  • Review the Activity Preview and set the starting date.
  • Press Import.

Important warning. Importing replaces activities from the previous schedule import for that plot. Activities you recorded manually are not deleted.

Step 4: Monitor on the dashboard

Go back to /farm. You will see:

  • Stat cards - total farms, total plots, this month cost, unpaid credit.
  • Plot summary with tabs: Favorite, Near Harvest, Active, Incomplete.
  • Recent Activities across all your farms.
  • Farm Assistant for quick questions.

Mark important plots as Favorite (star icon) so they always show up on the dashboard.

What comes next

Once your farm, plot, and first activity are in place, these three features are usually next:

Checklist

  • Account created and you can sign in
  • First farm created
